A vocational expert is an individual who comes into a divorce case where there’s an allegation that one of the spouses is not earning sufficient income to justify their past job experience or their education; in other words, either unemployed or underemployed.

A vocational expert will conduct an evaluation, provide a report to the court which will indicate this individual is qualified for certain employment in your particular geographical area and can earn a certain level of income. Very important where one spouse is unemployed or underemployed.
