Reasonable parenting time is a term often used in marital settlement agreements where the parties want to be as liberal and as fluid and as spontaneous as they can be in determining the contact or time sharing schedule. They try to work it out between themselves. They may have flex schedules of their own they have to be meeting, so they try to go along as best they can in providing the child a type of contact that’s meaningful and continuing. The problem is, what happens when you can’t come to an agreement, so reasonable in those circumstances, reasonable contact or time sharing doesn’t work.
