A visitation or time sharing exchange is a location where the child is exchanged from one parent to the other at the end of a time sharing period. In our parenting plans, what we try to do when children are school age is to have as many of those exchanges as possible occur at school. In other words a parent drops of the child at the beginning of school and the the parent who takes the child at the end of the day for the exchange picks him up from school.
Under other circumstances and in most circumstances if they’re not in school then they exchange at each parent’s household. If we have acrimony going on between the spouses or former spouses, then we have it occur in a neutral location in public somewhere.
