A highly motivated legal
professional, Melissa Montle began her career as an Assistant Public
Defender in West Palm Beach, Florida
where she gained extensive experience in handling criminal defense appeals,
juvenile cases, county court cases, and circuit court cases from inception
to resolution, through trial or negotiated plea agreement. Expertly handling
depositions, motions, jury selection, opening and closing statements as well
as direct and cross examinations, Ms. Montle prepared and took juvenile,
county and circuit court criminal cases to both jury and non-jury trial. In
doing so, she worked closely with the State Attorney’s Office in skillfully
negotiating plea agreements. Additionally she has experience in researching
appellate and trial issues, writing criminal appellate briefs and motions,
and communicating case analysis to a diverse range of clients. A graduate
of Tulane Law School in 2003, Ms. Montle was awarded The
McRobert’s & Tulane Law Scholarships.
Her intern/extern
experience included researching and drafting legal documents, assisting in
defending and mediating cases for wrongfully convicted clients, and
comprehensive case development from inception to investigation, discovery,
trial preparation and resolution. She also worked in real estate law
conducting title searches by establishing individual, group and corporate
ownership of property. Ms. Montle was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2003.
