
Robin J. Scher

Robin J. Scher is a BV rated
attorney practicing law for 18 years, the last 15 exclusively in the area of
family law in Palm Beach County. She has handled all aspects of family law
practice, including prenuptial agreements, paternity, dissolution of marriage,
custody, domestic violence, support, adoption and some dependency. She also has
some appellate experience. In her spare time, since July, 2008, Ms Scher also
serves as a Traffic Hearing Officer in Palm Beach County.
In addition to her ongoing commitment to pro bono legal services and mentoring
of new attorneys, Ms. Scher strongly believes in service to local and state bar
associations. She is currently a member of the Executive Council of the Family
Law Section of the Florida Bar Association, where she also serves as Editor of
FAMSEG, its monthly email publication, and as a member of the Legislation, CLE,
and Domestic Violence Committees. Past service to the Family Law Section of the
Florida Bar includes membership on numerous committees, most notably the Pro Se
Task Force, Non-Traditional Families and Membership Committees.
Ms Scher is also active in local bar associations as a member of the Family Law
Practice Committee and the North County Section of the Palm Beach County Bar
Association, as well as serving for the last two years as the Outreach Director
of the Palm Beach County Chapter of Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
Ms. Scher received her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies and a
Certificate in Latin-American Carribean Studies from Nova University in 1987,
and her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 1990.
